Vet Visit Mode

• Pre-visit briefing: an auto-built "What to Tell the Vet" summary, with talking points and highlights pulled from your pet's logged data over a date range you pick. Works offline in the exam room
• Audio recording + auto-transcribe: record the appointment with the vet's permission; recording survives a locked phone, an incoming call, or switching apps
• AI visit summary: synthesis of notes + transcription + health context, generated right after the visit
• Photo capture by type: blood reports, prescriptions, bills, written notes
• Suggested health entries: AI extracts meds, symptoms, and follow-ups from the visit; you confirm each before it's logged
• AI questions to ask (new in v1.2): a generated question list for the appointment, based on your pet's recent data
• Visit cost tracking (new in v1.2): the visit fee becomes a linked expense entry automatically
• Visit media storage: Visit audio and photos are not included in cloud sync or cloud backup and cannot be restored through Pawtient AI on a new phone.

• Bring your own AI: The MCP connector is currently read-only in production because writes are disabled by configuration. A compatible AI assistant can read shared pet data; all sharing categories are on by default. Change category permissions under AI Connections → Data sharing; these controls apply to categories, not individual pets or records. Medication, injection, blood-glucose, and blood-test writes are permanently blocked. If other writes are enabled, they queue for your confirmation in the app. Review the connected provider’s privacy policy before connecting.

Pet management + sharing
